November 12, 2011

On November 12, 2011, The Melbourne Area Federated Republican Women celebrated their 44th anniversary with a tribute to the men and women of the United States military. A silent auction and live auction were held and funds raised were distributed to MAFRW's Caring For America Projects. Here are some photos from the evening's events.

Mike McCalister.

For the last dining opportunity, breakfast at McDonald's with Scott Ellis, the overhead screen showed a picture of a cartoon farm while the theme song for the television show Green Acres was played, a humorous reference to Scott's relocation to a farm in West Viriginia. MAFRW hosted a "goodbye roast" for Scott in November 2010, to commemorate his new career venture as a farmer.

Following the live auction, MAFRW Past President Barbara Davis introduced the guest speaker, KrisAnne Hall.
